Stanley Cup Final game 4, let's go Cats! I had never heard of this cigar before I got one in a subscription and once I smoked it I realized I had to get another. Camacho is a pretty well-known brand, but for whatever reason, I had never seen this particular blend. It's fantastic. The cold draw gives notes of barnyard and leather with a hint of sweet grass. As I lit up, the barnyard flavor really stood out with a little mustiness, but by the time the shaggy foot burned down to the start of the wrapper, the mustiness turned into leather and that sweet grass/wheatgrass flavor popped out. Around an inch in, the slightest hint of mint appeared. The draw has been perfect and the burn almost as good as it can get, with some very mild running which is cleared up very quickly on its own. The ash is spectacular, lasting half of the cigar now, nice and compact without any splitting. The band slid off easily and did not hurt the ash one bit. The flavor has gotten a little bit earthier and more leathery with a cashew creaminess. The ash finally fell with 2 inches left in the cigar. Outstanding cigar overall!

Punch cut gives a nice open draw, yet has a slight resistance. Burn is mostly even after about an inch; the shaggy foot burned slightly uneven upon lighting. Flavor is fantastic, with a vanilla and graham cracker sweetness, oak woodiness, and a slight black peppery spiciness on the retrohale. The ash shows a bit of tooth but the wrapper looks fairly smooth and oily. The ash is a gray/white but definitely not a phosphorus bright white. The burn became a tad bit more uneven, but has kept up and didn't canoe drastically. The ash has not dropped after 2.5 inches and survived sliding the band off. Once 3 inches and the ash is still holding on tight. My phone camera isn't taking great photos but the ash is phenomenal, long and tight with only an inch of cigar left. The vanilla and oak flavors are still strong but the graham cracker and spiciness in the retrohale are faint. Delicious flavor throughout the cigar. The ash finally fell when I the cigar down, about 4 inches of ash, one inch of nub left and its thoroughly enjoyable. I highly recommend this cigar if you can find it.

I drew on the cigar right away while lighting rather than toasting the shaggy foot to start it off with a kick. There was a slight off-flavor at first but that quickly turned to a vanilla sweetness and toasted almond nuttiness. The retrohale is quite peppery and tingles the sinuses making my eyes water slightly. The aroma coming off the foot smells like French vanilla. The first ash dropped at about 1 ¼". The draw is slightly tight but there's plenty of smoke output. A slow, steady draw gives a nice plume of smoke and leaves a great flavor and aroma. Almost halfway through the burn started to become uneven, but turning the cigar helped a little. I will probably have to touch it up when it meets the band. Still a peppery retrohale, but the vanilla has turned more almond flavored. I'm now noticing a bit of toothiness on the ash which led me to inspect the wrapper, where I see lots of small toothiness. The burn evened itself out well and there is no need for a touch-up. The sweetness has all but disappeared leaving a toasted almond flavor and peppery retrohale. A leathery flavor also has emerged along with a slight earth flavor, maybe almost cocoa like. So far, impressive cigar. The previous Camachos I've smoked have been less impressive, but still good cigars. As I approach the final third, the cocoa is starting to enhance, with a leathery, toasted almond aroma. Now into the final third, the ash hasn't dropped again. Still a leathery, toasted almond flavor but a sweet aroma. The ash next dropped after 2 inches. The closer it gets to the nub the more flavorful it gets with that dark chocolatey, toasted almond flavor.
