La Flor Dominicana Ligero No. 400 cigars feature the very best estate-grown Dominican Ligero long filler and binder tobaccos perfectly packed inside a silky-smooth Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper. The result is a cigar that’s unmistakably full body in strength yet creamy smooth in taste, and loaded with savory notes of chocolate, sweet spice, coffee, and caramel.

There is something amazing about the exceptional simplicity of an LFD cigar. They hit all the notes that I enjoy, and I have never been let down. LFD, for me, has never been a cigar that chases anything, there is not much evolution from first light, to last draw, but again, I don't mind. Tasting notes - Pepper, all of them, mellow leather, and earth. This cigar id full body, and full on flavor. Construction has never failed me. This cigar was smoked wetter than I normally would, at about 3 days after I bought it, and down on the Gulf Coast. I have already ordered a box to greet me when I get home. I have not smoked an LFD in a number of years, and now I am not sure why.

LFD Ligero (5.75 x 50) MSRP: $8. Cold draw: light sweet spice. First third: light cinnamon to start. I’m getting a strong earth taste as well. I would say that is the main flavor to start off. Cigar is also very earthy. Cigar overall has a little sweetness to it. This is so far a very smooth cigar that leaves only a minor taste lingering on palate. This is a full-body cigar with a slow burn. There is a sizable canoeing issue about a third into first third. As I mentioned before this cigar is earthy but it is earthy to another level. Also seems to be a very light chocolate taste. There’s a light cherry taste. Second third: more cinnamon taste. Another canoeing issue. Light spice is there. Earthy and wood notes still dominate the taste with the cigar being slightly sweet. This cigar taste good which is why it’s so unfortunate i keep having to correct burn issues. Final third: same cinnamon taste. Earth and wood still there as well. Spice is mainly in back of throat. More burning issues 🙃. Cinnamon is dominating this third. Final smoking time: 1:19 Best third: Final third. Connoisseur’s take: where to start. The flavors of this cigar were great and similar to that of the LFD ligero with earth, wood, and cinnamon tastes. However the burning issues were so bad that I spent more time fixating on fixing up the cigar. Due to this, this has been the worse cigar of 2024 for me thus far and I do not advise anyone to get this cigar. Final score: 6. Easygoing mediocrity.

A straight forward aroma with flavor leaning towards sweet wood. Faster than expected burn.
