Drew Estate's 'All Day'.
The story behind the creation of Undercrown has become the stuff of cigar folklore; when Drew Estate’s factory workers were unable to continue smoking the Liga Privada #9 while working, they came up with their own similar blend now known as Undercrown. Drew Estate’s master blender, Willy Herrera, challenged the workers to concoct a Connecticut-based blend that would satisfy his discerning palate, and with his assistance the work on Undercrown Shade began.
Draped in a silky smooth Ecuador Connecticut wrapper over a Sumatra binder and Dominican Criollo ’98 and Nicaraguan Corojo and Criollo long-fillers, Undercrown Shade is an absolute foray of flavor while remaining balanced and smooth. Medium-bodied, expect hearty nuances of toast, citrus, and cream, spotted with slight hints of spice. Perfect for any time of day, Undercrown Shade by Drew Estate is a Connecticut-wrapped premium that will delight the full-bodied aficionado. A game-changing blend that should be tried by any & all enthusiasts.

Liga Privada Undercrown Shade
This Connecticut shade stick was a good choice. It had earthy, light cedar, and mild earthy tones. It’s definitely a mild to medium-strength cigar. The smoke output was excellent! It’s a great stick for people who prefer mild cigars.

Really enjoyed the smoke overall. Nice flavor and good draw. I usually don't go in for conneticuts but this one had a very nice body to it and tasted great. Unfortunately I think I picked up a bad one and had burn issues throughout the first third. After about two thirds I put it down for about 20 minutes, picked it back up and fought me to stay light. Would definitely buy again based on flavor alone and hopefully not have any issues with the burn.

Smooth earthy hint of pepper nice easy smoke.

Another abnormal review. Sweet and spicy as expected, but the second from this box with burn issues. The pepper notes hit harder than expected from its look. The draw wasn't as great as usual, although the construction seemed ok. Again, particular stick would not stay lit for very long without multiple relights.

Abnormal review. Sweet and spicy as expected, but not very smokey due to burn issues. The pepper notes hit harder than expected from its look. The draw was great, and the construction seemed great as well, but this particular stogie would not stay lit, which is rare for Undercrown lines.

TL;DR - significant and subpar burn issues, though I think it's a good cigar. 5 mos aged. ⏳️ Prelight is a barely noticeable light tobacco. Pleasant but faint. Goldilocks draw with great initial appearance. At half an inch, I've had to correct the burn line twice already. So it's a rough light-up and it's staying bad. There's a core problem that only a roller could have caused. Continuing, the high-burn core issue on one side is paired with a lagging side that won't keep up. I'm coming to the end of the first third, and I don't know if I like the cigar yet. Jeez Drew. About halfway the burn is finally self-correcting. That's a whole lot of wasted cigar. 😕 I'm finally getting some flavors that don't include pure charcoal. It's woody with a bit of leather. There's a kind of spice that's settling on the palette and is present in the retro. Clove? Coming to the end of the smoke, I think it's a good cigar. Medium strength. Giving Drew Estates the benefit of the doubt, I'll hope the burn issues were isolated. Generally this was a bad experience, but I'll try it again.

1mo rested. Burn and draw great. Ash tight and fell at halfway point. Interesting overall flavor, has a slight bitter taste. Notes of cedar, grass, nut, cream, spice, and citrus.

Repeated review. Sweet, spicy, and very smokey! The pepper notes hit harder than expected from its look. Clean construction, adequate draw, and a very even burn.
