For this very special project, Nodal once again turned to famed cigarmaker AJ Fernandez who created a blend that utilizes some of the rarest and most well-aged tobaccos in the world. This Nicaraguan puro blend features the finest Cuban seed long fillers with some “ Pelo d’ Oro” leaves mixed in. Pelo de Oro is a tobacco grown in small quantities due to its low yield and susceptibility to ...disease. It has a distinct flavor and strength that Nodal, and Fernandez felt would perfectly compliment this superb blend. For the perfect finishing touch, each Scherzo is finished with a rare, vintage Cuban seed hybrid wrapper grown by Fernandez on his La Lilia farm in Estelí, Nicaragua. The end result is a highly complex, medium-to- full bodied smoke with rich, smooth flavors of earth, cedar, leather, dark roast coffee, and baking spices .
