Repeat review, nothing complex but a simple cigar. Flavor notes bring mostly nuttiness with a hint of something sweet. The draw is easy but the burn needed a couple corrections. Just a slight wood tone shows up on the back end.

TL;DR - this one was too charry. Early discard with hopes the next one isn't like that. 👎 Aged 9 mos⏳️ Pre-light gives off sweet maduro, red pepper flake, and hints at molasses. Construction and draw are spot on. Light-up is charry, not great. Oak and red pepper develop. Burn was fine through the first half. Early discard for persistent char flavor.

Nothing complex, but a fairly smooth cigar. Notes are generally consistent of nutty-like sweetness. Easy draw and decent burn. After 3 months of rest since the last review, a subtle note of wood now comes through.

FWIW, I go back and forth on this brand. His "Cargo" line is an underrated budget cigar, some of his high end offerings have been underwhelming. I do like the Vintage 90s series. Right off the bat, the Ecuadoran Sumatra wrapper tore when I removed the labels. Draw is loose, but smoke volume is good. The box pressed 54 ring gauge is nice, comparable in construction to the Avo Synchro Ritmo which was also a 6x54 box pressed with loose draw. The mildness of the Connecticut shade binder pairs well with the Nicaraguan filler. Gives the cigar a unique depth and complexity. Nice hit of almond sweetness between the first and second thirds. Good burn, ash holds with a minimal flaking, temperature is excellent. This is a medium bodied smoke, although it does get the black pepper finish.
