The fourth blend and the strongest one in the Eastern Standard line. Hailing from the Dominican Republic with a premium blend of hand-rolled Dominican and Mexican long-fillers with an Ecuadorian binder all dressed up in a Mexican Sungrown Habano wrapper. Spicy throughout this full bodied smoke.

Caldwell Eastern Standard Sungrown
I've had this blend in toro, but now trying it in gordo. The smoking profile portrayed sweet, spiced cedar notes like the toro. However, the draw was too airy and prevented the flavors from being as pronounced, often tasting only ash. The cigar burned too fast, but at least it stayed even. This cigar was an 87 in a toro.

Here's an interesting one. The cold draw reminded me of a spiced apple pie, which I thought was just a fluke since I rarely pull fruit notes. Apparently not, as the smoking profile portrayed sweet, spiced cedar notes. The draw was open and incredibly smokey.

Good and smooth. Great construction perfect draw and burn. Notes of citrus, and wood. With some toasted nut at the end was a decent cigar.

Just as delicious as all the other Caldwell smokes I’ve tried. Not a bad one in the bunch.
