A true fan-favorite!
The Macanudo Inspirado line has been one of my favorite series of cigars in years. We all know Macanudo, that’s for sure, but most people don’t dig deeper than Café. And I can’t really blame them – Macanudo Café is the gold standard for mellow-bodied cigars, and has been for years. But with the Inspirado series, the folks behind Macanudo took a more “boutique” approach, focusing their blends on complex flavors and rarer tobaccos.
Today, we’re looking at Macanudo Inspirado Orange, a cigar that’s new…ish. You see, Inspirado Orange originally started as a European exclusive. It was so popular that it quickly moved to the states, originally appearing only in brick-and-mortar retailers. Today, the people have spoken and Inspirado Orange is finally available to the masses. Wrapped in a gorgeous Honduran leaf overtop Dominican, Honduran, and Nicaraguan long-fillers, Orange produces a rich, buttery blend with almonds, pepper, and a leathery core. A must-try for all fans of medium-bodied cigars.
Macanudo Inspirado Orange received a well-deserved 93-rating and Top 25 Cigar honors, noting: “A great cigar… bright finish of almonds and black pepper.”

An average cigar. Mostly wood and tabacco flavors. Burn and draw were good. Not something I'd come back to. Wasn't terrible just not for me just plai all around.

Mild cigar with minimal flavor, mostly baking spice on the pallete. An easy smoke to pair with almost any thing you want to go along with it.

Sure, any practiced cigar smoker will have had much better than this. Still, I have to say that while it is not an inspiration, there are lots of good things to say. First, the burn is perfect. And while the pre-light is a slightly pungent barnyard, once burning it's a great aroma. Really, very nice. Generally it's a woody experience that started with an intermittent cayenne to the roof of the mouth. Yet in the last 3rd, it turns to an outstanding toasted walnut. Very rewarding and worth doing again.

Decent. Started very peppery but lightened up by the 2nd 1/3rd. A little more mellow than I prefer. A better golf cigar than a chill cigar IMO.

The draw was great all the way through. The burn started good, but there was some sort of void in the cigar which caused a weird spiral run down the side. Once it was past the void it burned fine again. The flavour was good, so I would like to give this one another shot

Decent smoke. Had a large stem in the roll. It was poking through the wrapper and when I burned into it it was hard, wouldn't fall off with the Ash. Not my favorite but I would smoke another.
