The H. Upmann Grupo de Maestros Connecticut Toro is the result of two powerhouse cigar crafters joining forces to produce the ultimate cigar. Altadis' famed Grupo de Maestros teamed up with Rafael Nodal of Aging Room Cigars to bring you this medium-bodied Dominican smoke, featuring a golden Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper on top of a Dominican binder and Nicaraguan and Dominican fillers that provide incomparable flavor. This sleek toro also sports a dark maduro cap for a sweet finishing touch in addition to the smooth earthy profile of leather and nuts.

Strange cap that's a different color, but makes no difference on the smoke. Decent construction burn was slightly off but not troublesome. More complex than a typical Connecticut. Cedar with a hint of something else slightly sweet. A bit of pepper in there with a forward tobacco flavor.
