This potent cigar delivers notes of cedar with touches of spice and cream. Its rustic Honduran maduro wrapper cloaks a Nicaraguan and Honduran binder and Nicaraguan Criollo ’98 and Corojo ’98 filler. Handmade in Nicaragua, the Alec & Bradley Blind Faith Toro is the first release by Alan Rubin’s sons Alec and Bradley, which the company was named after.

First time trying this one I believe. The draw was fairly smooth, but the burn needed multiple corrections to stay burning evenly. There was a bunch of pepper and earth on the palate, with an odd bit of spicy pepper coming on the retro. Fairly decent cigar, but the spice blend just felt a little bit off.

Took me a while to figure out if it was the bourbon or the cigar than lit the tip of my tongue on fire. Lots of hidden spice notes n this smoke, flavor was great but quietly numbed the tip on my tongue. Overall a great strong smoke.

There was a blocked part in the last third, so from the beginning on, there was no draw. Die not mean it is a bad cigar. I will give it another chance.

Excellent draw from the start and a relatively straight, but wonky, burn line. Very sharp spice note on the retrohale that actually lingers for several seconds. Hint of leather on the tongue. Lots of thick smoke on the draw and some coming from the foot as well. Had to be re-lit about half way through the second third. The burn line finally required a significant touch-up going into the final third. Probably could have smoked this cigar for another 15 or 20 minutes. But I gave up at the final third. Excellent cigar and paired well with hard cider. Would definitely buy again.
