5 - One & done. I had concerns going in to this simply because i don't love Connecticut cigars. In fact, rarely do I even enjoy them. Cedar is not a good profile for me. Feels like I'm smoking a stick or an broken off peice of a dresser drawer. At times the smoke texture can be lux and creamy; but with this individual Connecticut i found the smoke to be arid and harsh. The spice was low and after the first third it was entirely gone,.which I did like. But the punch of cedar was a lot, and not for my palate. I never get nut notes, even though I'm basically a nut-hoarding squirrel, stuffing his stupid face with pecans and cashews all day. Even then the nut profile evades me. Honey was not present and no underlying sweetness for me. 1 - End of Days (98 -100) 2 - Buy a box (90 - 97) 3 - Buy a five-packer (74 - 89) 4 - Bargain-buy (55 - 73) 5 - One & done (35 - 54) 6 - Life is too short (15 - 34) 7 - Strait to jail (0 -14)

This is definitely a bold cigar, with strong notes of dark coffee, earth, and black pepper. The retro carries that pepper with some intensity. The burn needed a couple touchups, but the draw was absolutely perfect. Definitely worth repeating.

A simple cigar in terms of profile, the flavor consisted of straight wood and pepper. The burn was very consistent thanks to a clean draw.

It's strong with plenty of pepper on the retrohale. The construction was pretty good but it did burn a little uneven. I have one more testing in the humidor but I don't think I would buy it again.
