We love Diesel. It’s a brand that has consistently performed, with each blend under the Diesel name promising a unique experience unlike anything else on the market. To ask for more seems greedy, but, let’s face it — with Diesel, we always want more. Enter the new Diesel Heart of Darkness. A limited edition blend, this one’s pure substance. It’s dark, it’s bold, and it’s unapologetically Diesel. Diesel Heart of Darkness comes in one perfected size: a meaty, 6” x 58 Gordo. Inside each box you’ll find 14 Ecuador Habano Oscuro wrapped gems. The dark, oily wrapper leaf sits atop a potent firecracker blend of all long-fillers from three different regions in Nicaragua, plus some additional Esteli ligero to put this one over the top. Each puff delivers a chewy feast of bitter espresso, earth, black pepper, and salty leather. Prepare for your palate to kick into overdrive as you burn your fingers taking this one down to the nub. If you’ve been around these parts long enough to have seen some other Diesel limited releases, you know as well as I do that this blend is gonna fly. Act quickly son. Otherwise you’ll be left with scraps while everyone else is enjoying filet.

This one has improved since the first test, now with 18 months of rest. The flavors are still simple with dark coffee and some saltiness, with an added touch of black pepper now. The draw was great, and the burn was infinitely better than last time.

A fairly simple cigar in terms of flavor, which mostly just included dark coffee and some saltiness. It was full in body but not particularly too strong. The draw was great, but the burn was absolutely horrible, needing corrections every inch to keep it from running fast on one side.

What a great full strength cigar! Would be great perfect wi a porter or stout beer. My favorite darkness cigar yet

Strong for the sake of being strong. Not much going on flavor wise. First 1/3 had a very very loose draw, like sucking air through a straw, but that improved in the second third and stayed that way. A good smoke after you’ve had a few drinks and just want something strong but aren’t worried about complexity.

Good strong cigar. Not what I was planning on for the night so I didn’t have the right drink to pair it with but overall still a good smoke, even with a beer. Burn was a little uneven at the start, but evened out after the first inch or so. Would have been a much better smoke if paired with a whiskey.

Very earthy and peppery taste....definitely will bite you back. Good cigar for what it is. Name is dead on!
