Not your daddy's Macanudo.
Indeed. This beaut is draped in a dark, oily Ecuadorian Habano leaf and brimming with a complex blend of Nicaraguan, Dominican, and Brazilian long-filler tobaccos. Up a few clicks in flavor and power from previous Macanudo blends, this medium-bodied cigar brings a rich, hearty flavor bursting with notes of spice, dark chocolate, and cedar. If Macanudo Café is your breakfast cigar, Macanudo Cru Royale makes for a perfect cigar after a hearty meal.
Macanudo Cru Royale has been named one of the Top 25 Cigars of the Year, earning a 91-rating, which noted: "Despite its dark, oily wrapper and thick ring gauge, the Poco Gordo draws and burns beautifully delivering leathery, nutty flavors, and a richness that isn’t ordinarily associated with the Macanudo cigar line."

Macanudo Cru Royale
Nope just not great in any way. Tight draw went out several time's and harsh flavors with a year of aging.
Macanudo Cru Royale
A year of rest has been helped this cigar out. Still fairly linear but an enjoyable smoke with excellent construction.

Macanudo Cru Royale
The profile on this one is smooth but rich, with bold notes of leather with oily undertones. The draw was very smooth, and the burn only needed minor corrections. Appearance was clean with solid construction.

Decent cigar nothing special. Burn had some issues but I didn't dry box long enough most likely. I'll see if they improve with age and provide an update.
Macanudo Cru Royale
Medium bodied and smooth. Great draw and burn. Flavors of cedar, earth, and a touch of spice and sweet.
Macanudo Cru Royale
Taste is a little off but not a bad cigar.
Macanudo Cru Royale
Great smoke for the price. Nice even burn, no touchups. Started with an expreso flavor and settled into chocolate and spice. Ended with a nutty, leather. Rich smoke from the oily maduro wrapper. I will definitely do it again. Better than expected. Paired with Captain and Coke.
