Le souffle is served
Under the supervision of E.P. Carillo, Crowned Heads cigars have been making small batch cigars committed to a combination of excellent flavor, balance and consistency. Inspired by a time when quality, pride and integrity mattered, Crowned Heads believes in a strict attention to detail. They may have gotten a late start in the premium cigar industry just a few years back but they have already proven what they are committed to with a handful of top rated boutique blends. The first of their cigar lines to be inspired by food, La Careme is named after Marie Antoine Careme, a pioneer in French cuisine, who is known for popularizing the soufflé.
Produced in the Dominican Republic, Le Careme is wrapped in a dark, oily Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper with an Ecuadorian Sumatra binder and Nicaraguan fillers. Right off the bat you’ll notice a strong earthy note followed by rich fruit, nuts and cocoa. Black Pepper joins the mix here and there but isn’t overwhelming. Reminiscent of a chocolate soufflé, there’s a sweet spot on everyone’s palate waiting to be hit with Le Careme. Receiving high praise from Crowned Heads fans, this is a cigar you don’t want to pass up on.

Crowned Heads Le Careme
Repeat review. 10 months rest. Has definitely evened out for a smoother smoke. Flavors are mostly cocoa and light leather. Draw is a bit tight for my taste. Nice firm construction. Appearance was a little rough but I would definitely smoke again.
Crowned Heads Le Careme
9 months of aging made a huge difference! So smooth and rich. Really so different it's hard to believe. So happy with this can't wait to see what it's likely in the future! Highly recommend
Crowned Heads Le Careme
5 months and still improving. Smooth and creamy chocolate and expression. Really a fantastic cigar. Burn draw and construction all the perfect.
Crowned Heads Le Careme
Great morning smoke with coffee. Dark chocolate, very smooth draw.
Crowned Heads Le Careme
4 months humidor time has been really improved this cigar. Chocolate creamy so good.
Crowned Heads Le Careme
I took a chance on this as an economical liga privada. I would say it met that expectation. It wasn't quite as good but didn't miss the mark by 10$
Crowned Heads Le Careme
As the name implies, very creamy texture smoke which is enjoyable. Had minor burn issues where the heat seemed to cause the wrapper to split slightly ahead of the burn line at different points, resulting in a somewhat loose draw. Construction was solid and the ash held on longer than expected. The cap wanted to unravel after cutting but stayed put with some moisture. Smoke time was cut short and I would have gone an extra ten or fifteen minutes.

Nice stick, good flavor(Chocolate notes), great draw, good burn and construction.

Crowned Heads Le Careme
Excellent draw and burn, the way the draw makes it through this tightly packed stogie is a thing of beauty. The flavor is initially very strong, dark rich chocolate, espresso with cream, and bitter goji berry. After an inch, (wow this ash is gorgeous) the flavor calms down and brown sugar oatmeal moves to the forefront. This is a warm smoke, everytime it fills my mouth, I'm take back by how warm it is. Really pleasant smoke overall with all the right flavors.

Got a five pack of these from Cigarpage about 2 months ago, i tried one about a week after and it was foul. It let them rest until today and it was outstanding. Started out a bit overly leathery, but it quickly smoothed out and became really enjoyable in the second and final third. The name is appropriate, the smoke texture is absolutely a creamy one. Very good stick.
