A medium-bodied smoke with warm earthy and leathery notes and hints of white pepper and dried fruit. Its savory red-hued Ecuadorian Habano wrapper drapes a Nicaraguan binder and filler. The CAO Arcana Firewalker is the second release in the popular Arcana line that invites aficionados to tryout cigars that have been made using old-school tobacco processing methods with traditional cigar crafting techniques. Its filler tobacco was grown in the Masatepe region of Nicaragua and employs an aging method called Chincagre, which involves burying the tobacco in volcanic soil. This time-tested process adds dimension and flavor to the tobacco. The cigars are handmade in Nicaragua.

This is a much smoother cigar than I anticipated it to be. The profile brings notes of sweet cedar, very mild cocoa, and a toasted note. The draw is smooth and airy, producing an average amount of smoke. The burn was decent, wavering minimally at times but correcting itself. The construction initially felt firm, but as it burned down, a few soft spots appeared.

Highly anticipated, but somewhat of a let down. Light and smooth with some white pepper. It's a good cigar but not even close to being in the same ballpark as the Mortal Coil.
