Romeo y Julieta Nicaragua by AJ Fernandez Robusto

AJ Fernandez certainly has the Midas touch. Indeed, every brand AJ touches turns to gold, and Altadis has clearly picked up on this. Not familiar with the Altadis name? They’re the brains behind brands like Montecristo, Romeo y Julieta, and H. Upmann, and in the last few years they’ve been working with AJ to produce some amazingly delicious blends. Case in point? The Romeo y Julieta RyJ Nicaragua – another beautiful entry in this collaborative story. For this latest collaboration between Altadis, USA and AJ Fernandez, AJ utilized a beautiful Nicaraguan Habano 2000 wrapper leaf. This Nicaraguan puro is a beautifully produced powerhouse blend, delivering waves of espresso, black pepper, cedar and earth as it burns slowly to the nub. As for performance? RyJ Nicaragua delivers like a champ – but really, what else would you expect from the latest team-up of two of the world’s biggest brands?
