Get 'Turnt Up' with Stalk Cut Tobaccos.
Drew Estate puts forth a great deal of time and effort in taking risks when conceptualizing new creations. From their traditional release Nica Rustica to lines like Larutan, Tabak Especial, MUWAT Kentucky Fire Cured, and many more, the creative collective is known for their expansive portfolio that pairs a few true-blue traditional releases with an army of aromatic options. Always unique in character, and often containing tobaccos that have been infused, barrel-aged, flue-cured, etc. whether traditional or totally off the wall, whatever they do, they do it all the way. Drew Estate's critical darling and crown jewel is Liga Privada. With sales increasing year-after-year, and limited edition line extensions added to the ever evolving lineup, Liga is a certifiable super-premium in every way: tip-of-the-top-shelf, a tour-de-force, and one of the most in-demand brands on the market today. T52 was the 2nd Liga Privada released, and remains one of the most-loved Liga blends overall.
T52 takes what the original No. 9 cigar started to whole new sensory heights. T52 boasts an extra-bold blend of highly 'turnt-up' tobaccos, starting with Drew Estate's signature Nicaraguan long-fillers, similiar its older sister, the No. 9. But that's where the pair's recipe resemblence ends. The Liga Privada T52 comes cloaked in an oil-slick of a Habano wrapper. Grown in U.S. soil under the full summer sun along the world famous farmlands of the Connecticut River Valley. Stunning in of itself, these leaves are then picked in typical fashion, but allowed to barn cure with the plants still intact. This Stalk-Cut method means more nutrients are allowed to freely flow throughout the stems, stalks, and sprouts. Once the process is complete, your left with wrapper leaves that are thick with all-kinds of flavor. The final combination brings a rich, priming complexity to the palate with more spicy/savory/sweet characteristics than any blend Drew Estate has created before or after. If you prefer strong cigars with potent nuances and rich aromas, then try the T52 today!

Drew Estate Liga Privada T52
A fun alternate vitola to the blend. The profile consists of creamy leather and some cedar. Most of the spice appears on the retro. The draw is smooth with a ton of smoke output, and the burn was fairly decent.

Drew Estate Liga Privada T52
A good staple blend here. The profile consists of a heavy but creamy leather note mixed with some cedar. Most of the spice appears primarily on the retro. The draw is smooth with a ton of smoke output, but there were a few corrections needed to prevent the burn from running on one side.

Super smooth, sweet and creamy

First 2/3rds were fantastic. Last third got some char flavor. Also developed burning issues in the last 3rd. Good but not sure worth the price.

This one is a Toro, not the Robusto. Prelight has a slight barnyard. Scent is rich and deep. Tasting notes start with Hickory, and a bit of Cedar. There's definitely leather at the beginning, which then turns to an undertone reoccurring intermittently. Smoke is abundant while the burn is even. The draw is outstanding. The cherry forms perfectly, while the desired sugar ring forms. Entering the second third, there's an undertone of apricot, while overall the smoke has become a tamed leather. A light intermittent forms in the palate. Toasty Cedar and leather remain prevalent, while a relight touch-up is necessary. Entering the final third, the spice intensifies. Cedar and leather continue to lead. The cigar has a notable mineral undertone now. Rich with depth. A full-bodied and opulent finish.

Had one of these from a pyramid sampler sitting for the better part of 5 months. Ive had these before, but i think sitting them is a good idea. This one had almost no pepper burn through the retro, just smooth creamy smoke.
