A 94-rated stunner.

My Father is enchanting from head to toe. The traditional packaging and vitolas represents the roots of old world Cuba, while the blend combines the very best of Nicaragua with a Havana twist. Each leaf in this blend has been hand-selected for optimum aesthetics and flavor. First, you’ll notice the pristine wrapper. A Habano-Rosado leaf grown in the misty valleys of Ecuador. Beautiful and dark in color with an oily sheen and pre-light aroma that’ll make you froth at the mouth, this wrapper conceals a bold, full-bodied mixture of aged Nicaraguan long-fillers grown from Cuban-seed in Esteli. The experience is robust, yet elegant, offering heavy notes of pepper on the palate and through the nose complemented by a touch of nuts and dark espresso. My Father is a complex, medium to full-bodied cigar that’s surprisingly smooth, creamy at times, and ultimately satisfying.

In addition to several 90 and 93-point ratings, My Father received a well-deserved '94,' to complement its spot among the world's 'Top 25 Cigars':
"Very well constructed, with an oily wrapper and triple-seam cap. The cigar is immediately rich and meaty, with leather, coffee bean, and a balancing sweetness."

Very linear, flavors are muted to me. Draw was a bit tight and light smoke production. I won't be purchasing more of this vitola. Glad it was only a single from a sampler

One of my personal favorites. Burn required a few touchups but other than that still a wonderful smoke.

Superb. Generally I find these cigars present as 99-100% across all categories. In this case, one side of the burn was a little slow throughout the smoke, so a few touch-ups were needed to keep the burn consistent. Still, the burn border started and stayed caramelized from beginning to end, maximizing the sugar burn the entire time. Zero charring. So good! The ash strength / length gave my son and I lots of laughable moments as it just would not fall off through at least 1/2 the smoke. Naturally it ended up on my wool coat's sleeve which adds to that garment's seasoning. I will never again clean that coat. Perfect! I have to say, the wrapper / blend are something special and it really does not change from year to year. Specific to the blend, it has strong similarities to some of my favorite ISOM blends. Globally, this one is a stand-out. "Consistent" is the right word, yet it does not do this masterpiece justice.

Chocolate brown with some stronger veins, leather and cedar predominant pre light First third, strong leather and cedar, softer tones of sweet chocolate and baking spice beneath. Middle section continues with strong leather and cedar, more notes of coffee and peanut develop underneath. Final third doesn’t disappoint, cedar and raisin take over toward the end. Fanstastic cigar.
